Why do we need performance licenses?

For music usage outside the worship service or to re-transmit (or stream) services and events over the internet, a church has the same requirements as any business, restaurant, or stadium. This means that you must have the proper performance licensing in place for social events, outdoor concerts, fundraisers, children’s music, Vacation Bible School, etc.
